The Cottage Grove Lab, located just off Interstate 94 between Madison and Milwaukee, was previously located in Madison, Wisconsin and was moved to its present custom-built, 20,000 square foot space in 2005. This allowed the lab to expand its range of testing capabilities and increase the number of test projects conducted per year. With two 60,000 pound force universal test machines and state of the art sensors, the Cottage Grove Lab is equipped to handle just about any wood-based material testing application. We have a diverse and educated staff of engineers and tradespeople who perform a wide variety of testing, with a high level of service and detail, from initial quote to final report.

Springfield, Oregon

Located six miles east of Interstate 5 in Springfield, Oregon this facility was custom-designed in 2016 to suit the needs of a modern materials testing laboratory. Since its inception in the mid-1960s the Oregon laboratory group has seen many changes in the industry and has prided itself on adapting to changing product standards and customer requirements. The lab has the capability to conduct a vast majority of wood product-related tests, from formaldehyde emissions, deck and guardrail component testing to structural adhesive testing, and beyond. IAS recognizes this site as an accredited laboratory.
